Next Saturday, October 2nd and Sunday, October 3rd is the Tastes of Rhode Island event at the Newport Yachting Center, right on the waterfront in downtown Newport. 

We will have a booth for the RI Beekeepers Association and will give out recipes, bee information, and sell honey and honey sticks for the association. It's a chance to educate the public on bees, and promote beekeeping and our bee schools.  We will also sell your honey, and people like a variety of honey from throughout the state.

We are still in need of volunteers to manage the booth. If you volunteer ahead of time, we have a set amount of passes to get RIBA volunteers into the event for free. (Admission is $10 the day of the event or $8 in advance online or at any Stop & Shop, and a 2-day weekend pass is $14, children under 12 free with adult. $1 from each ticket is donated to Feeding America.)

Set up is on Friday at the Waterfront Events Center and booth hours are: Saturday 12pm-10pm and 12pm-6pm Sunday.
